What information do you need to provide a quote?
To give you the most accurate quote, we typically need: your application/process, required cooling capacity (BTUs or Tons or KW), target fluid type and temperature, flow rate and pressure drop, available voltage, and any space or environmental constraints. What is the typical lead time for a custom chiller?
Lead times vary based on complexity and current workload, but because we build in the USA with readily sourced components, our custom builds are often significantly faster than waiting for standard or imported units. Contact us for a current estimate for your specific project.
What if I need the chiller faster? Do you offer expedited options?
Yes. If we provide a lead time and you need it faster, we can often provide alternate product or expedite options. Please consult with your salesperson.
How do I know what size chiller I need?
Our experienced application engineers will work with you to calculate the precise cooling load based on your process parameters. We ensure you get the right size for optimal efficiency and reliability – never undersized or excessively oversized.
Can you provide special coatings for corrosive environments?
Yes. We offer various coating options depending on your environment. The most common coating requests are for chillers located in seaside/island locations where salt (from the ocean) in the air can quickly corrode a condenser. We also offer some dipping options for corrosive industrial environments like those located a chemical manufacturing plants.
Can you match the footprint of my existing chiller?
Yes, in some cases, we can design your custom chiller to match existing plumbing connections and footprint dimensions to minimize installation costs and disruption. Keep in mind that as government required efficiency standards have increased, so have chiller condensers increased in physical size to help provide that additional efficiency. Often, an old 10-ton chiller is the same physical size as a modern 7.5-ton chiller. Provide us with the details during the quoting process and we can try to find or design a custom chiller that will work for your space.
What kind of support do you offer after installation?
We offer optional factory start-up and commissioning services. Plus, all our chillers come with lifetime technical support directly from our knowledgeable US-based team. We also help with sourcing any necessary replacement parts down the road to help get you up and running faster and to keep you running.
Are your chillers more expensive than standard units?
While a custom, industrial-grade chiller involves a higher initial investment than a light-duty standard chiller built for comfort cooling, the total cost of ownership is often significantly lower due to superior reliability, longer lifespan, energy efficiency, reduced downtime, and readily available parts.
