Can use an outdoor chiller for an indoor cold plunge in Winter?
Commercial spas, therapy centers, training facilities use cold plunge and therapy pools year around. And it isn’t possible or optimal to have all of that rejected heat, noise or space for a chiller indoors. American Chillers makes chillers that can operate year around for all climates, even when the outdoor temperature is -20F degrees, the indoor temperature is 80F degrees and the pool water needs to be 45F degrees.

Do you know that we can build a chiller for veterinary, equine plunges and livestock. Horses especially are a big business. There are equine cold plunge chillers that help to speed recovery after a serious workout, horse show, used to prevent and speed recovery after an injury and, also used to cool horses down during hot summer months.
How does a horse get in an equine cold plunge pool? Well, it’s a little different than for people. There is often a door that opens so the horse can step into the pool and sometimes a step or two. Just like the name implies, a cold plunge, cold water immersion therapy or ice bath is a pool used to cool down, mostly for sports therapy and recovery after exercise or surgery, but has evolved into healthy living practices and even weight loss.
What is the typical water temperature for a cold plunge pool?
The typical commercial cold plunge pool temperature is between 45F degrees and 55F degrees, although sometimes even colder water is desired. American Chillers can builds commercial cold plunge chillers for colder water temperatures – down to 38F degrees.
